英語只用在被動。
其他語言的話，完美對應芬蘭語的被動形式sanotaan。
Hnen sanotaan olevan lkri.
hnen=his，sanotaan=one/people say，olevan=to be/being(賓格)，lkri=doctor(主格，表語後)，對應people say his being a doctor，換個說法就是people say him to be doctor。
如果硬凹主動態的話，英語對應的應該是people say that，其他語言還有專用的詞，法語on dit que，德語man sagt, dass，世界語也是學法語oni diras, ke。on/man/oni都是沒有確指主體的第三人稱。
