Yellow dog is a slang term tending to racial discrimination. In the United States, the 19th century, many Asians did not join trade unions and did not resist capitalist exploitation. Consequently other workers referred to these people as yellow dogs, originally referred to as knobstick(workers who continue working during the strike ) or people who opposed the union, later extended to contemptible people.
