刷過了English Prepositions Explained的in部分，我大概說一下
in的概念是這樣的

也就是有乙個東西被圍在邊界裡面了，和into相比，更加強調狀態而不是動作
說一下幾個困難的地方吧
其中一種是in circumstances，因為 circum- 其實有in的意思；於是 in embrassment之類的
不過和under有區別，on 的話有作為在....上面有burden的意思，於是是under pressure
into需要乙個顯明的landmark
所以有 get in late 沒有get into late
並且into常常穿過邊界的意思，而且to 強調動作於是 The car crushed into the tree. 而非是in
不過into不一定需要穿過邊界，可以是乙個動作的持續，比如 We drove into deeper the forest.
in good condition; into existence需要關於landmark的metaphor的想象
還有inward，指的是向中間聚集的方向

可以這樣看
dinosaurs started to dominate the daytime economysurvivedinosaurs unable to dominate the daytime economy
survive被這段時間封閉了，所以是in，乙個類似的例句是
What did the universe look like in the first second after the big bang?
或者這麼說，每個介詞對應一種或者多種metaphor，結果所有的介詞的metaphor中，只有in的封閉可以針對這個描述
等我看完EPE之後可能會補上所有介詞在時間上的metaphor(小概率事件
上面那句已經不可能了
